FAQs

  • Stop the Ride is a sober-curious podcast hosted by Drew Valentino, exploring addiction, recovery, and what it takes to change your life — one honest conversation at a time. Each episode invites fellow adult film actors, content creators, producers and community activists to share their personal experiences navigating sobriety in a world that doesn’t make it easy.

  • Guests include Drew’s friends, colleagues, and fellow creatives from the adult industry and online content world. Some have stopped just one substance that was doing the most harm (a harm reduction approach), while others found long-term recovery through structured programs like 12-step fellowships. There’s no one path here — just real people, telling the truth about what worked for them.

  • Yes — but not in the traditional sense. It’s not about telling you how to get sober. It’s about listening to people talk openly about what recovery means to them. The show holds space for harm reduction, total abstinence, and everything in between.

  • Not at this time. All guests are personally invited by Drew and his production team. The conversations are intimate, often ongoing, and rooted in existing relationships.

  • Each episode is filmed on location in beautiful, thoughtfully curated studios around the world. The locations are part of the magic — helping guests feel relaxed, seen, and ready to open up.

  • High-quality storytelling takes real resources. Each episode involves professional filming, editing, equipment, travel, studio rental, and a small crew. The goal is to create a lasting body of work that’s honest and beautifully made.

  • The most impactful way to support Stop the Ride is by becoming a monthly donor. Recurring contributions help cover production costs and allow Drew to continue filming and editing episodes on schedule. One-time donations are welcome too — but monthly support makes it possible to plan ahead.

  • Not yet — but it's coming. We’re working on some custom-designed merchandise that will reflect the spirit and aesthetic of the show. Stay tuned for drops in our online shop.

  • The content is generally safe, but we do talk about addiction, substance use, and recovery — sometimes in explicit terms. There’s occasional strong language, and themes that are more appropriate for adult audiences. Listener discretion is advised.

  • Drew and his team are already hard at work on Season Two, which will feature a mix of new faces and returning guests. The focus will deepen — diving even further into each person’s journey, their recovery milestones, and the realities of staying sober (or sober-ish) in today’s world.

  • Episodes will be available on all major podcast platforms and as video episodes online. Visit the EPISODES RSS page for a full list.
